The Cermel Valley is located in the north-west of Kosice and it is the largest woodland park in the area. Here can be found one of Kosice's most popular attractions: the Children's Railway. It takes kids and adults up the Cermel Walley to the Leisure Area of Alpinka. The Children's Railway, was built in the years 1955 to 1956 and its locomotive 'Katka' is one of the last small steam locomotives which are still in operation.
