The Botanic garden lies on the northwest part of Košice, and has a 30 hectares area. Its largest part is a 24 hectares big forested area. It was established in 1950.
The Botanic garden has five departments: the subtropical and tropical flora, the arboretum, the ornamental flora, the autochthonous flora and the bonsais.
The green-house plant collection is collected from all over the world but mainly from the tropical and subtropical zones of Europe, North America and Asia.

For individual visitors weekends and holidays from 9.00 to 15.00
For groups Monday to Friday from 9.00 to 15.00
